Phoenix Mayor laughs after voting to approve the largest sale tax increase in the city's history. A 22% increase. It was also the first time in the city's history when the city council approved a tax increase without allowing the public to vote on it.

A homeless encampment in downtown Phoenix known as the zone which Mayor Kate Gallego failed to address until city residents sued the city and a judge declared the zone a public nuisance and forced the city of Phoenix to clean it up. However, the zone is starting to come back again only months after it was cleaned up.

Phoenix once was home to a Chinese culture center. The center no longer exists. It was discovered Mayor Kate Gallego received $75,000 in campaign donations from the company that took over the center. Kate voted in favor of measures that helped the company's efforts to replace the cultural center.

Kate Gallego's maiden name is "Widland". She's divorced now but uses her married name to gain votes from Hispanic voters.

Kate Gallego sits on the steering committee of an organization named c40 which is pushing for reducing consumption of meat and dairy. Kate Gallego has pushed Phoenix to implement "sustainable" food policies that move Phoenix towards banning meat and dairy.

Not that we need data to tell us the homelessness crisis is getting worse in Phoenix but here's proof it's skyrocketing under the leadership of Kate Gallego and our city council.

Transparency? Kate Gallego admits to having communications with public officials on a private encrypted messaging app. Residents in the city of Phoenix have no access to these records which should be public. We'll never know what conversations took place behind closed doors. Thankfully she was caught. Otherwise, she'd still be using the app today. So much for transparency.

The protesters carried signs calling for an end to displacement and access to affordable housing. They also strung up a piñata meant to represent the mayor, which later spilled candy across the ground. Kate Gallego refused to allow a moratorium for mobile-home residents that were later displaced from their homes.

Do as I say not as a I do.. As if being an Incumbent wasn't enough, Kate Gallego and her campaign broke a city ordinance to gain an unfair advantage of her opponent and put her signs up a month early. Fortunately, she was caught and the city forced her to take them down
