A Warning for Democrats & Independents

Phoenix City Council District 2

I'm open about being a lifelong Independent who became a Republican two years ago. But I can't say the same for both of my opponents, Danny Mazza and Julie Read, who are Republicans endorsed by Turning Point USA. They are also both backed by a current Phoenix City Council member.

You wouldn’t know they're Republican by looking at their social media, websites, or flyers. Their party affiliation and Turning Point USA endorsement are not mentioned, the colors they use , it's all intentional. They want to attend Republican events to get their votes but also get Democrats and Independents to vote for them by hiding the fact they are Republican.

They were so effective at presenting themselves as Democrats that they were originally listed that way on the Blue Voter Guide until they were tipped off and the listings were corrected.

Julie was a lobbyist on Capitol Hill. Danny is a probate attorney. We don’t need more lawyers and bureaucrats representing our city.

Why Democrats and Independents should vote for me:

  • I was a lifelong Independent until two years ago
  • I am the only true outsider and grassroots candidate in this race
  • I am not hand-picked by any current council member
  • I am not controlled by the political establishment
  • I support bipartisan issues like no mass surveillance, protecting our water, and I share concerns about data centers
  • As the only candidate with three children actively attending schools in District 2, education is personal to me. I’m the only candidate endorsed by a current school board member — Paradise Valley Unified School District Governing Board Member Sandra Christensen.

What you see with me is what you get.

I’m running to break the cycle of insider politics — not to continue it.
